Alexis

In this episode, we talked to the amazing and charismatic Alexis Krohn. She is the Co-Executive Director of the Unconscious Bias Project as well as (SPOILER ALERT!) the new co-host for our podcast. We talked today about her journey from Boston to the Bay Area, leaving the education world and entering into Diversity Equity Inclusion work. We talked about her transition and the challenges with being misgendered and the awkward interactions that it presents. We talked about how COVID has affected the queer community. We talked about the intertwining of civil rights between the Black and queer communities and how it is so critical to work together. This is definitely an episode you don’t want to miss. Check it out.
