Episode 6 – Kuya Chris – Filipinx Americans in the Mix

Published on: Sept 28, 2020

In this episode, we had the pleasure of interviewing Christian Guerrero or Kuya Chris. We talked about podcasting, connecting over learning people’s stories, the amazing ways that Filipinos are showing up to feed frontline workers. We learned about connections between the educational system in the Philippines left in place by the US and how that’s transformed careers and career outcomes for Filipino people and just the sheer amount of nurses that we have in the US that are coming from the Philippines. We also talked about how people can show up and give resources to support Filipino communities here. He has an amazing podcast you should definitely check it out and check out his website.
