Episode 29 - Luticha Doucette - "Disability, Activism, and Liberation"

Published on: August 15, 2023

We have our first episode of the UBP Podcast: Season 3! It took a while to get out, but we think it’s totally worth it. We’re experimenting with a new format, so you’ll have to let us know what you think.

For our first episode of this season, we’re excited to share an interview with Luticha Doucette. Luticha André Doucette is the CEO & founder of Catalyst Consulting. Luticha has a Bioinformatics degree from Rochester Institute of Technology and later became a Fellow at the University of Rochester. Luticha then took that scientific lens and applied it to local socioeconomic issues by authoring a report on wage disparities across race, gender, and disability in Rochester and Monroe County with the Rochester-Monroe Anti-Poverty Initiative in 2017. Luticha then authored a follow-up report on employment barriers for disabled people in Rochester and Monroe County the following year. Luticha is also the author of “Cultivating An Intersectional Mindset: Transform Your Leadership in 30 Days”.

We had so much fun talking with Luticha about disability, activism and liberation, and we know you’ll have fun listening, too. There’s so much laughter.
